Ann Flannery is a Certified Professional Yoga Teacher with Advanced Level training. Ann has been practicing yoga since 1990 and teaching yoga since 2000.
Ann began her yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Center in Lenox MA. Her continuing yoga studies include the Iyengar tradition and Anusara methodology.
Ann’s teaching is primarily based in the Kripalu Yoga tradition and philosophy: to approach practice with compassion for one’s self, open to witnessing what unfolds.
Her classes are influenced by her love of movement and athletics as well the power of experiencial learning. She enjoys creating a space, both physically and spiritually, to support students in their self discovery and the discovery of the many benefits that the ancient practice of Yoga offers.
Ann enjoys working with wood and has been a cabinetmaker since 1975. During the winter of 2018 Ann led a class of local Harpswell youth in building a wooden skiff. She has a deep passion for boats and being on the water and is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain.
