YAMAS– 5 ethical precepts, core values, to inspire peaceful coexsistance.
AHIMSA: “Non-harming”; Make space in your consciousness for peace.
Compassion, understanding, patience, love, respect. BEGIN WITH SELF.
Thoughts > Words > Action. Pause, notice, understand… before reacting.
SATYA: “Truth” - in words & action; foundation of healthy relationship.
What is my heart’s desire? Recognize, and follow through with courage.
Truth = Knowledge + personal integrity + humility
ASTEYA : “Not stealing” “What goes around, comes around”
Abiding in generosity and honesty, ASTEYA, abundance is bestowed.
Generousity of our time and attention, giving from your heart.
Take a moment: recall a gift in your life.
BRAHMACARYA : “Moderation”
Living in balance and moderation, one’s life force becomes boundless.
Our body, mind and emotions respond positively to routine and cycles.
Leave some energy in your “bank” for feeding and nurturing oneself.
APARIGRAHA: “Non-Attachment”; “Recognize Abundance”
Freedom from wanting more is just that…Freedom
Aware of the ebb and flow of life, remember that the difficult times will pass. Cherish the sweet moments. Look for life’s blessings everywhere.

NIYAMAS
5 ethical precepts, core values, to support us personally in living
a more balanced, healthy and whole life.
SAUCHA – Purity; Simplicity. Identifying and clearing out any blocks that
restrict your ability to focus and move forward.
SANTOSHA – Contentment. Residing in the space between over-whelmed and under-whelmed. Wholeheartedly present. Appreciating what we have now.
TAPAS – Fire; Burning Enthusiasm. Generating an attitude of passion.
Intelligently directing our energy with discipline and willfulness. Making choices.
SWADHYAYA - Self-study; Self-understanding; Intentional contemplation
Practice what feeds you with the intention of discovery and knowing.

ISHVARAPRANIDHANA - “Celebration Of The Spiritual”
Attuning, getting quiet to notice the magic, the extraordinary, the mystery of life.
